Welcome, Our family run free house is one of the oldest pubs in the South of England and is in an excellent position for exploring with lovely walks close by in Ashurst Park, Stone Cross, Burrswood, Withyham and The Ashdown Forest. There are links to information for Cycling, Rock Climbing, Golf, Horse Riding and Fishing in the area. Groombridge Place is only across the road where weekend events take place, lovely gardens to walk through and a children's Enchanted Forest. Come and try our traditional cuisine in the cosy beamed restaurant with log fires to keep you warm. We have a set menu and a daily specials board that caters for all tastes. Our Sunday roast is a mouth watering experience!! Family parties can be catered for and any special events - please call early to book. Bed and breakfast is available. We have beautiful cosy rooms with all the characters of the 16th Century. Please feel free to call us to ask any queries. |
